The heraldry & sigillography exhibition is housed in an ancient building that leaves the visitors close to the objects exhibited that give all their symbolic dimensions and colours.

A first room is dedicated to the training space with the recovery of a scriptorium and a full wall dedicated to the didactic aspect of heraldry... A set of display cases showing sigillographic documents (reproductions of seals and grants of arms...).

Exhibit showcases present the evolution of the seals from the first time to today use, an evocation of the writing materials and objects linked to the use of coats of arms today complement the exhibition.

Other space is specially reserved for the presentation of the Albigensian Crusade of 1209 and the images of the Crusade. Several information panels provide information on special moments of the Crusade against the Cathars in its early years (Siege of Carcassonne, Battle of Muret ...).

The evocation of the Crusade is enhanced by windows in importance reproductions of seals of the main characters who took part in the fighting (Simon de Montfort House Trencavel ...).

Additional space has a special focus on shields of the Knights of the Golden Fleece and the paintings on glass (stained glass interior) in the flamboyant style of the fifteenth century Heraldry. This presentation is complemented by interior windows that give a show of religious scenes.

The exhibition is open every day from 10h. to 12h. and 14h. to 18h. Other times by arrangement.
